The couple’s life is turned upside down when their daughter is cast opposite a controversial leading lady. Reference in the District Attorney’s Office: Ep. 26 – ACOLYTE DISASTER! Could this be the end of DISNEY STAR WARS? (2024). The first half of the film is more of a character study, telling the story of a deeply unhappy and lonely housewife, Anette, who soon learns that her husband Ben may be having an affair with famous actress Alice. The second half of the film is more of a thriller, in which the pace quickens and the wheels in Anette’s head start turning. The film is really slow: initially cold and icy, then warm and full of champagne, and in the final act explosive. The whole thing is suspenseful, gripping and suspenseful. It is based on a fantastic performance by Daisy Ridley. She is a real discovery. Her quiet moments of festering rage are terrible. There is a symbolic scene where we see her smash a mirror after pushing herself into it for a few moments, symbolizing their crumbling marriage. Shazad Latif is also good here. The film has some average aspects. The trailer is quite misleading. It can drag on at times and become a bit tiresome. The ending may be cathartic and satisfying for some viewers, but average for others. Hiba Ahmed does quite well as Matilda’s daughter, although the performances of the children in the film are often not very good. She felt more like a prop than a character. And Matilda Lutz, while really beautiful, charming and believable as a movie star in the context of the film, was okay. Maybe it was because Lutz was Italian that many of her lines sounded odd or stilted. If you like thrillers with strong acting, especially those with female anger, eroticism and infidelity, this will be okay for you.
